Lesson Levels & Goals

Every lesson is private and tailored. These levels are a starting point — after our first chat, we'll build a plan around your swimmer's age, comfort level, and goals.

Level 1

Splash & Play

Typically ages 3–6, or first time in a pool

The goal: Build comfort and trust in the water, ease any fear, and learn the most important water-safety basics.

What we'll work on

  • Getting comfortable putting the face in the water
  • Blowing bubbles and controlled breath holds
  • Assisted front and back floats
  • Kicking with a kickboard
  • Holding on to the wall and safe pool exit
  • Short, supported glides
Level 2

Water Confidence

Beginners ready to swim on their own

The goal: Become safe and self-sufficient in the water and swim short distances without help.

What we'll work on

  • Independent front and back floats
  • Streamline position off the wall
  • Flutter kick with rhythm and power
  • Side breathing and breath control
  • 5–10 yards of unassisted freestyle
  • Basic backstroke
  • Treading water for 30+ seconds
Level 3

Building Strokes

Swimmers who are comfortable and want more

The goal: Swim the length of the pool with control and build a foundation in all four competitive strokes.

What we'll work on

  • Full-length freestyle with smooth side breathing
  • Efficient backstroke with a straight body line
  • Breaststroke fundamentals — kick, pull, and timing
  • Introduction to butterfly
  • Pool entries and safe diving basics
  • Endurance sets to build stamina
Level 4

Technique Refinement

Team swimmers looking for an edge

The goal: Sharpen technique, build efficiency, and get race-ready with faster, cleaner strokes.

What we'll work on

  • Stroke analysis on all four competitive strokes
  • Streamline and underwater dolphin kick
  • Flip turns and open turns
  • Racing starts off the block or wall
  • Breathing patterns for sprint and distance
  • Pacing, sets, and stroke-count drills

Not sure which level fits? That's exactly what our first conversation is for — we'll figure it out together.
